WIP: Idlewood

My Idlewood is coming along. Halfway through the waist-shaping I put half the stitches on another needle and tried it on.

and proceeded to take some dirty mirror shots.

And an unflattering flashy flashy one for good measure.

I'm pleased that it fits so far, although the cowl neck is pretty overwhelming. Once it is finished and blocked I'll experiment with ways of folding the cowl so that it doesn't eat my head!

  1. Great sweater! I'm always a little nervous about knitting sweaters that will actually fit so I am congratulating you on doing a good job with that.

  7. I love all of Cecily Glowik Macdonald's patterns, so it is nice to see an Idlewood in progress. That looks like perfect yarn for it.

  8. Your Idlewood is looking amazing. The fit is perfect! And no need to worry about the cowl...you definitely carry the look well. That color is perfect for the sweater, too. This one is a must knit for me, can you tell?

  10. If it looks that good reflected in a ditry mirror, I bet it looks amazing in person. Hope it's as comfy as it seems!
