WIP: Twisted socks

I burned myself out on socks last year, making three pairs as Christmas gifts, and haven't knit any since. Needing a project that doesn't take too much concentration, I finally cast-on for some more.

I dyed the yarn last year (apparently I like green), but have been hesitant to use it, since the base is the same as the yarn I dyed with easter egg dyes that faded horribly. If this fades similarly, I'll just dye it again, I think.

The pattern is Twisted by Jodie Gordon Lucas from the Spring+Summer 2010 issue of Knitty.

  2. I'm very into green right now and that colour is fab ;) I like the look of the pattern too, may add it to my plan for my second pair of socks!

  3. What did you use to dye it. See if adding vinegar in very hot water and soaking to stablize colour. Sometimes works...

  5. Socks are looking good so far! How do you like knitting them two at a time? I feel like that's a habit I should get into since I suffer from severe Second Sock Syndrome.

  7. It is indeed green, but everything here is with all the blasted rain we've had.

  8. Love love love the color! Great job dyeing it! I'd be interested to hear how the color holds up. I have some easter egg dye that I have yet to use yet from this year.
